Cupid’s Arrows Got Nothing…

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

This coming Sunday is the day that most people in the world celebrate their love for another person. Many go out and spend all kinds of money to impress that special someone. There’s nothing really wrong with Valentine’s day. A person might spend too much money on impressing someone but that’s their prerogative. Also, there will be those that appreciate being thought of and knowing that someone cares. That’s a nice feeling.

Here’s the thing, if that day is about making someone feel special, thought of, loved with gifts and words then as believers Valentine’s day is everyday! God gave us the greatest gift a person could ever receive, and He did it out of love for you and me. A gift that blows all other gifts away. An action of affection that can’t be repeated. His love for us was so great that He gave us His son as a gift of complete love, thinking of us, showing how special we are.

So on this Valentine’s day, whether you are married or single, in a relationship or unattached, don’t forget that someone is thinking of you, does love you, and is with you. God is always with you, and His love is there to embrace you, to remind you that you are worthy.

  • How do you live it out?

Pray about it
  • Thank you God for loving me so much that you…
